CLEVELAND (March 9, 2026) – In conjunction with Problem Gambling Awareness Month (PGAM), the Ohio Lottery is proud to announce the launch of its new responsible gambling campaign, WellPlayed Ohio.

Ohioans seeking guidance on responsible gambling can visit wellplayedohio.com

The site provides resources to help individuals understand gambling risks, recognize warning signs, set healthy limits, and access local support services.

“WellPlayed Ohio is powered by players, retailers, partners and communities across the state, and it allows the Lottery to directly communicate with those stakeholders,” Jimmie Hicks, III, Deputy Director of Responsible Gambling said, “We remain a leader in this space by creating tools and actively measuring and improving responsible lottery play across Ohio. We’ll continue to celebrate responsible play.”

Responsible play is characterized by playing with “fun money”, knowing the odds, using emotional control, knowing when to stop, and knowing that help is easy to find.

Throughout March, the Ohio Lottery will support PGAM through statewide outreach efforts including a social media campaign, a paid advertising campaign, and messaging in retail locations.

The Ohio Lottery continues to be a leader in responsible gambling in the lottery industry, receiving the highest level of certification from the National Council on Problem Gambling.

PGAM is a national initiative dedicated to increasing public understanding of problem gambling and the availability of prevention, treatment, and recovery resources. In Ohio, efforts continue year‑round to promote safe play and ensure that help is accessible to anyone who needs it.

If you or someone you know may be struggling with a gambling problem, support is available 24/7. Call the Ohio Problem Gambling Helpline at 1‑800‑589‑9966 or connect with the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1‑800‑MY‑RESET. All calls are free and confidential.

The Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $34 billion to education since 1974. For more information about the Ohio Lottery and its contribution to education, visit www.ohiolottery.com/supportingeducation.
