'Name That Scratch Game' Winner Helps Design Idaho Lottery Scratch Ticket

BOISE, Idaho (June 23, 2025) – The first of three Idaho Lottery “Name That Scratch Game” winners will see her ticket released to the general public on Monday.  Jamie Jensen, Rathdrum, won second place in the popular Lottery contest with the clever game title “Cheddar Getter”.  As part of winning, Jensen worked with the Idaho Lottery marketing department on the game design and its production to bring her idea to life.

“I always thought it would be so awesome to design Scratch tickets,” said Jensen, a professional graphic artist from north Idaho.   “It’s been a really cool experience!”

“I thought it might be cool to have a shiny metallic purple background to compliment the yellow gold cheddar.  Then the green in the scratch part would look good with both colors,” Jensen described to the Lottery’s graphic design team when they first began working on the overall ticket concept.

From concept to reality, Jensen’s original ideas were incorporated into the final ticket design.

The new $5 Cheddar Getter Scratch game went on sale to the general public Monday, June 23, 2025.  The game features two top prizes of $50,000.

"Name That Scratch Game" contest was an engaging competition where participants submitted their creative ideas for new Scratch ticket game names in the fall of 2024.  The contest received over 14,000 submissions, showcasing the creativity and enthusiasm of the Idaho Lottery’s dedicated players.
