LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 18, 2026) – The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce has once again recognized the Kentucky Lottery as a leading employer, awarding the organization a prestigious workplace honor for the sixth consecutive year.

The Best Places to Work in Kentucky designation is presented annually to 100 businesses across the state by the Chamber, the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management, and Saint Joseph Health. This recognition is based on a comprehensive evaluation of employee benefits, organizational policies and procedures, and confidential employee survey feedback.

"When employees feel inspired, supported, and empowered to grow, they don’t just excel – they thrive. That commitment to excellence drives our mission and fuels the opportunities we help create across the Commonwealth.”

“Winning at the Kentucky Lottery is about far more than our games or the millions we invest in local communities through retailer incentives and educational funding for high school and college students,” said Kentucky Lottery President and CEO Maggie Garrison. “Our success is built on the strength of our people. When employees feel inspired, supported, and empowered to grow, they don’t just excel – they thrive. That commitment to excellence drives our mission and fuels the opportunities we help create across the Commonwealth.”

The Kentucky Lottery continues to cultivate a professional and engaging workplace through ongoing education and development programs, high-quality wellness and benefit offerings, and formal channels that encourage employees to share ideas and participate in organizational decision making.

The Kentucky Lottery’s 2026 workplace recognition falls within the medium-sized company category, which includes organizations with 150 to 499 employees. Headquartered in Louisville, the Lottery maintains a statewide footprint with its sales team working in every region of Kentucky.

With approximately 3,500 retailers statewide, the Lottery supports job creation and strengthens local economies through millions of dollars in annual commissions and incentives earned by its retail partners.

Its educational mission continues to make a measurable difference. Lottery proceeds support scholarships and grants for Kentucky students and their families – advancing the goals of lawmakers to invest in high schools, colleges, and universities and to help build an educated, skilled workforce for Kentucky businesses.

To date, Kentucky Lottery proceeds have funded scholarships and grants for more than 1.1 million Kentucky students and their families. As Garrison noted, this impact is driven by the dedication and professionalism of Lottery employees.
