AUSTIN (August 18, 2025) – The Texas Lottery and the Houston Texans are celebrating the arrival of the 2025 football season with a new Houston Texans scratch ticket game and promotional second-chance drawings. This is the 17th year the Texas Lottery and the Houston Texans have collaborated to offer fans the opportunity to show support for their team with chances to win cash prizes or exclusive must-have items and experiences. The $5 game for the new season launched on Monday, Aug. 18 and is available at Texas Lottery® retailers where scratch ticket games are sold.

“Our Texans scratch ticket game has been a fan favorite going back almost two decades,” said Sergio Rey, acting deputy executive director of the Texas Lottery. “We’re proud that our long-standing partnership with the team has generated nearly $65 million for public education in Texas, while giving players the chance to win top prizes and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. We look forward to continuing this successful partnership and delivering exciting prizes to Texas Lottery players.”

The new Houston Texans scratch ticket game offers more than $17.6 million in total cash prizes, including four top prizes of $100,000, and 65 experiential VIP second-chance prizes. Overall odds of winning an instant-win cash prize are one in 3.77, including break-even prizes.

Since the first Houston Texans scratch ticket game launched in 2009, the annual Texans-themed games have generated more than $296 million in sales, with $64.7 million of that total being transferred to the Foundation School Fund, which supports public education in Texas. During that time, more than $203 million in prizes from the game has been awarded to winners and $14.8 million in commissions has been transferred to retailers around the state.

“We’re proud to kick off another exciting season of Houston Texans football with the Texas Lottery,” said Brian George, Houston Texans Senior Vice President, Partnerships & Luxe. “Through our partnership, we have reached even more Texans fans and Texas Lottery players throughout our state while providing one-of-a-kind experiences they can’t find anywhere else. We look forward to continuing to work together to offer Texans fans these unique gaming opportunities while supporting public education in Texas.”

Players can enter non-winning Houston Texans scratch tickets into any of the five promotional second-chance drawings to be held throughout the run of the game for the chance to win experiential prizes, including a Private Plane Away Game Trip, a Luxury Suite and On-Field Contest Experience, or Season Tickets for two. Before entering non-winning tickets into the drawings, Texas Lottery players must register or already be registered with the Texas Lottery Luck Zone.

The five entry deadlines for the separate second-chance drawings are: Sept. 19, Oct. 24, Nov. 28, 2025 and Jan. 16, 2026, with the deadline for the final drawing date yet to be determined.
