Rhode Island Lottery Recognizes America’s 250th Anniversary With the RI 250 Instant Game

CRANSTON, R.I. (January 9, 2026) – Rhode Island’s history is rich with independence, innovation, and tradition – and now, a Rhode Island Lottery Instant Game is giving players an opportunity to commemorate this historic year with a chance at an instant prize.

The RI 250 Instant Game features five historic scenes that showcase Rhode Island’s heritage.  Each ticket includes information on the back of the ticket that helps to explain the scene on the front.

“Rhode Island has a long and fascinating history – including one of the earliest lottery traditions in the country,” said Mark Furcolo, Rhode Island Lottery Director. “The RI 250 Instant Game is a fun way to celebrate and commemorate 250 years of American independence while giving players a chance to win a prize up to $17,760.”

The RI 250 Instant Game is available now at Rhode Island Lottery retailers statewide for $5.
