An art installation accessible free of charge to all

Montreal (September 25, 2026) – Last night saw the inauguration of 36 Impressions: The Origins of the Loto-Québec Collection, an art installation showcasing the winning works from Loto-Québec’s prestigious print competition, which ran from 1979 to 2003.

The event took place in the presence of a dozen award winners and singer-songwriter Pierre Lapointe , who praised the initiative:

“Art takes on its full meaning when it encounters the public. This installation allows Loto-Québec to showcase the origins of its remarkable collection, but also to highlight the journey of artists who, thanks to initiatives like this one, have had the opportunity to create, explore, and share their talent.”

“ 36 impressions reminds us that the Collection was born from a concrete desire to encourage local artists and to showcase their work. Even today, we are very proud to support local culture in many ways, including through initiatives and partnerships to stimulate creativity among emerging artists,” adds Marie-Claudel Lalonde, Vice-President of Corporate Social Responsibility and Marketing at Loto-Québec.

The works are now accessible to all at Loto-Québec's head office, through the entrance located at 505 President Kennedy Avenue, in Montreal.

Culture Days

Furthermore, Loto-Québec is pleased to partner with the Journées de la culture (Culture Days) as a collaborating partner to showcase Quebec creativity. A rich program of discoveries is offered throughout Quebec on September 25, 26, and 27. It's also an opportunity to see these initiatives from the Collection:

  • See blue

    Raymond-Lasnier Exhibition Centre, Trois-Rivières

As curator, the Collection's head, Manon Pouliot, explored the power of the color blue to design an exhibition that unfolds through five themes: abstract blue, natural blue, optical blue, engaged blue, and emerging blue. The exhibition illustrates how artists use it to express their emotions and represent their environment.

  • Transition zone

    Val-David Exhibition Centre

Approximately twenty works from the Loto-Québec Collection, selected by curator Manon Régimbald, serve as the starting point for a dialogue with works created specifically for the occasion by four guest artists: Véronique La Perrière M, Farzaneh Rezaei, Emy G. St-Laurent, and Alexis Vanasse. This exhibition is a collaboration between Loto-Québec, the Centre Sagamie, and the Val-David Exhibition Centre.

  • Nature dwells within us

    Loto-Québec Head Office

Created in 2019 in collaboration with the Adélard Art Centre, this exhibition brings together some thirty works of art from the Loto-Québec Collection, carefully selected by guest curator Laure Waridel, who drew inspiration from the theme of nature. Among the works on display are creations by Frédéric Back, Marcelle Ferron, Jean Paul Lemieux, and Rita Letendre.
