LEWISBURG, W.Va. (August 12, 2026) – The West Virginia Lottery is back once again to help celebrate the State Fair of West Virginia. The Lottery will be present through the duration of the fair, running from Thursday, August 13 through Saturday, August 22.
Fair gates open at 9:00am, while Lottery Hall will welcome players from 10:00am-6:00pm. The daily drawings will occur immediately following the hall’s closure each day.
In coordination with the Lottery’s ‘Back to Our Roots’ 40th Anniversary Tour, several changes will be present for the 2026 fair. The biggest is the return of the live-action giant board game concept from years past for Lottery Day, which will be held on Monday, August 17 ONLY. Gameplay begins at 10:30am, but players are encouraged to arrive early, as lines are anticipated.
The digital wheel has reverted to a $10 price point, and the player-favorite VIP drawing also returns, but with a twist. The NXT Chance drawing remains in place as well, providing players multiple ways to enter secondary contests.
The interactive and on-site Fair Games comes back for its 6th season, providing players at-home and at the fair a chance to participate for a variety of prizes.
Complete rules for all of the Lottery’s 2026 fair events and drawings can be found below.
The route for Lottery Hall has also changed, where players will enter using the door on the right side of the building’s main entry across from Trudy’s Ice Cream and to the right of the carnival entrance.
