The Elective Governors Acts of 1968 were passed by the 90th United States Congress and established a path for the populations of the U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam to elect their leader through the voting sytem. The Act was realized through the efforts of the First Constitutional Convention in 1964-1965. Since 1970, the U.S. Virgin Islands has elected a territorial governor every four years. Individual tickets are $1.50 each, or purchase a full sheet for $30.00.
