In his role, Sean plays an integral part within California Lottery’s Sales leadership team, consistently making decisions that positively influence the Lottery’s operations and long-term success. Over the past year, Sean led a major initiative to transition California Lottery’s Scratchers delivery vendor – an effort that required a complete overhaul of the Lottery’s delivery requirements and a meticulous evaluation of various logistics scenarios
One of the most significant enhancements introduced under Sean’s leadership was the transition from a per package delivery model to a weight-based delivery system. This critical shift demanded extraordinary attention to detail: Sean and the team conducted precise weighing of every product and packaging component, rigorously analyzed cost impacts, and assessed the long-term operational benefits for the Lottery. This level of diligence ensured that the new delivery model was both cost-effective and strategically advantageous.
Additionally, the vendor transition required important updates to California Lottery’s gaming system. Sean took proactive ownership of this effort by organizing and facilitating cross-functional meetings involving the new vendor, the Information Technology Services division, and Brightstar Lottery. Through careful coordination, clear communication, and thorough review of requirements, Sean ensured that all system modifications were accurate, aligned, and fully supported. His leadership throughout this process was instrumental to its success.
