Pennsylvania Lottery Resumes Normal Operations After Computer System Upgrade

Players can now purchase tickets from Lottery vending equipment and cash winning tickets

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (March 19, 2024) – The Pennsylvania Lottery today announced that the transition to its new computer system was completed, meaning players can now purchase Draw Game and Fast Play tickets from Lottery vending equipment and cash winning tickets as they normally would. This upgrade is part of a project that involves the Lottery upgrading vending equipment, improving its technology, and launching many new features that will improve the playing experience for Lottery players.

About the Pennsylvania Lottery:

The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state lottery to direct all proceeds to programs that benefit older residents. Since ticket sales began in 1972, it has contributed more than $35.1 billion to fund property tax and rent rebates, transportation, care services, prescription assistance, and local services including senior centers and meals.
