New leadership takes the helm following MUSL's third-highest sales year on record
JOHNSTON, Iowa (July 15, 2026) – The Board of Directors of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) unanimously elected Brian Rockey, Executive Director of the Nebraska Lottery, as its new Board President. Rockey and the Association’s other newly elected Board and Product Group officers assumed their duties on July 1 and will serve through the end of Fiscal Year 2027.
The Association is coming off its third-highest sales year on record, highlighted by back-to-back billion-dollar Powerball® jackpots and the successful launch of its newest daily draw game, Millionaire for Life™, last February.
“Our focus is on helping member lotteries get the most out of the national games category by proactively managing our strategic direction and evolving our portfolio to meet changing player expectations,” Rockey said. “Whether it's strengthening existing products, forging new partnerships, or developing the games of the future, we're committed to ensuring our portfolio continues to deliver meaningful value for our lotteries and the beneficiaries they support.”
Adam Prock, Executive Director of the Minnesota Lottery, and Rose Hudson, President & CEO of the Louisiana Lottery Corporation, will serve as Board Vice President and Secretary, respectively.
Additional Board leadership appointments include:
David Barden, CEO of the New Mexico Lottery, as Chair of the Legal Committee
Mark Furcolo, Director of the Rhode Island Lottery, as Chair of the Finance Committee
Frank Suarez, President & CEO of the Connecticut Lottery Corporation, as Chair of the Marketing and Promotions Committee
In addition, members of the Powerball Product Group unanimously elected Stephen Durrell, Executive Director of the Kansas Lottery, and Frank Suarez, President & CEO of the Connecticut Lottery Corporation, to serve as Chair and Vice Chair, respectively, of the Powerball Product Group.
The Powerball Product Group enters Fiscal Year 2027 from a position of strength, building on successful national partnerships with NASCAR®, the Disc Golf Pro Tour and the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA), while advancing a new NFL-themed product and preparing to launch the first national promotional prize program in Powerball history. The game is also set to launch ticket sales in the United Kingdom next week, marking another milestone for the iconic brand.
“Powerball is entering one of the most exciting periods in its history,” Durrell said. “With our expansion into the United Kingdom and several major initiatives on the horizon, we’re focused on growing the brand into a global entertainment powerhouse that will continue delivering long-term value for our member lotteries for decades to come.”
Additional Product Group leadership appointments include:
Sharon Strong, Executive Director of Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, as Chair of MUSL’s Mega Millions Product Group
Helene Keeley, Director of the Delaware Lottery, as Chair of the Lotto America Product Group
